Chops wants every customer to be able to use this website and visit our shop comfortably.

In the shop

Our entrance on West 12th Avenue is step-free, the aisle to the counter is wide enough for a wheelchair, and we have an accessible restroom. If you would prefer help carrying an order to your car, ask any member of staff — it is never an inconvenience. Customers who find the shop difficult to visit can order by phone and have the same range delivered.

On this website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means:

• Text and background colours are chosen to meet contrast minimums.
• All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text.
• The site can be navigated by keyboard alone, and focus is visible.
• Headings, lists and landmarks are marked up semantically for screen readers.
• The layout reflows to any screen width without horizontal scrolling.
• Motion is limited to gentle fades and honours reduced-motion preferences where the browser reports them.

Known limitations

The embedded map on our contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap and we cannot control its accessibility. The full address is written out in text beside it so no information is lost.
